Seth Rogen is probably a talking sausage

After being rumored for years, Sony has confirmed via press release that Seth Rogen is a talking sausage—a role that, most likely, Rogen will be taking on in the R-rated animated comedy Sausage Party, which he co-wrote with Evan Goldberg. Rogen’s Sausage has been bandied about since at least 2010, but is only now beginning to poke its head out in the hands of executive producer Jonah Hill. And if you enjoy those sorts of jokes, you’ll probably want to get all up on this Sausage Party, which is described by its creators as a “super dirty mockery of a Pixar movie” where a talking sausage falls out of a shopping cart, then tries to make it back through the supermarket to get to his aisle in time to be sold (and eaten, presumably) for the Fourth of July. Along the way the sausage goes on a journey of self-discovery that finally allows him to see how this sausage got made, besides grinding up some anuses. Of course, there’s no official word yet that Rogen will actually play that talking sausage, but honestly, what a waste of the fine, sausagean timbre of Rogen’s voice that would be otherwise.
