Seth Rogen working on an R-rated comedy for tweens

Adults like bad words and jokes about sex, teenagers like bad words and jokes about sex, and children generally do not like bad words and jokes about sex, but what about the mysterious tween demographic that sits in the middle? Do they like bad words and jokes about sex? Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver hope to answer that question once and for all with a new film called Good Boys.

This comes from Variety, which says Good Boys is about four 12-year-old good boys who “embark on a quest from the Los Angeles suburb of Tarzana to the Sherman Oaks Galleria to replace a broken drone before their parents get home.” That doesn’t sound particularly funny, but it’s also reportedly “in the vein of” both Sausage Party and Superbad—which is basically just a different way of saying that it’s a Seth Rogen movie.

Rogen is producing Good Boys, with Bad Teacher writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky writing and directing.
