Seth Weitberg won Drunk History last night with his Dolly Parton tale
As difficult as it is to contain one's undying love for Dolly Parton, it is only made more difficult after drinking straight whiskey out of a Mason jar. This is the struggle of Seth Weitberg, whose sloppy-yet-loving story of Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner is one of Drunk History's best yet. While other storytellers incite laughter with vomiting and slurred speech, the sincere adoration in Weitberg's drunken speech is what makes it so great. Happy Endings' Casey Wilson and The Mighty Boosh's Rich Fulcher reenacting the tale in Weitberg's exact words is equally enjoyable. Highlights include the real story behind Parton's first solo hit, "Jolene," and Weitberg's howling rendition of "I Will Always Love You." Comedy Central only has clips available, but the whole thing is up on Jezebel.
