Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band to get 50th anniversary reissue
Finally, 50 years after the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles are going to get some recognition. According to Rolling Stone, that album is getting a big, celebratory reissue in honor of its anniversary, and it will be available in several different packages for people who simply cannot have enough alternate versions of Sgt. Pepper songs. On the low end, there will be a straightforward CD version, featuring a new stereo mix and all of the same tracks as the version of Sgt. Pepper you probably have already. There will also be a deluxe edition available digitally, on CD, or on vinyl, and it will include that new stereo mix on one disc/LP and a batch of alternate takes on another.
