Sharon Stone to play a Hollywood agent in The Disaster Artist

The Disaster Artist, a movie based on the book about the making of the The Room, is proving to have an allure that seems counterintuitive to its title and subject matter. We suppose we understand why James and Dave Franco signed on, but the film has also attracted Hannibal Buress, Jacki Weaver, and Kate Upton, as well as The Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson. And according to The Hollywood Reporter, Sharon Stone has just joined the cast as a Hollywood agent, whom we assume will either egg on the onscreen Tommy Wiseau in his quest to make the almost aggressively bad film, or will detail exactly how bad his idea is in the first place in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to save the world of its awfulness. Stone does know a thing or two about revisiting questionable material—she was in that Basic Instinct sequel, after all.
