Shia LaBeouf is not starring with famous people anymore in Rock The Kasbah

Weeping sack Shia LaBeouf has dropped out of Barry Levinson’s Rock The Kasbah—a film whose cast is full of people who are famous, which LaBeouf no longer is. LaBeouf was set to star opposite Danny McBride as one half of a pair of soldiers in the orbit of Bill Murray’s washed-up rock manager, whose mentoring of a young singer in Afghanistan brings him in contact with characters played by Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, and other people for whom fame is not cause for an elaborately self-reflexive commentary that forever complicates the means by which they have achieved it. The Hollywood Reporter calls LaBeouf’s departure “amicable,” which we assume means it won’t lead to any art projects.
