Sometimes, trailers for superhero movies will make a point of not showing certain things that people want to see that superhero do, and this trailer for tennis drama Borg Vs McEnroe pulls that exact same trick by refusing to show Shia LaBeouf unleashing a proper tirade as the famously short-tempered John McEnroe. Casting LaBeouf to play McEnroe is brilliantly on-the-nose, and we know he can pull off a brilliant, red-faced rant because we’ve seen him do it in real life, but this trailer wisely saves most of that for the real movie. LaBeouf aside, Borg Vs McEnroe also stars Swedish actor Sverrir Gudnason as Bjorn Borg, and Stellan Skarsgård as Borg’s coach, Lennart Bergelin.
Borg Vs McEnroe will be in theaters in September.
