It’s been five years since Garbage went on indefinite hiatus, with singer Shirley Manson using her time off to try her hand at acting—starring as a urinal-impersonating liquid-metal Terminator on The Sarah Connor Chronicles—while also working on a yet-to-materialize solo album with drummer/producer Butch Vig. Now it sounds as though she may have abandoned at least one of those things, as Manson announced today that Garbage has reunited behind a new, in-the-works album and is already planning a tour to take place sometime next year.
