Earlier today, The A.V. Club premiered the new track from Young Guv, the power-pop alias of Fucked Up guitarist Ben Cook. Now we’re gifting the world with the new track from Toronto’s Elsa, which happens to be releasing its debut EP on One Big Silence, the label run by Fucked Up’s Mike Haliechuk. That’s fucked up, right?
Either way, Elsa’s “Bummed Out” leads off the Never Come Down EP right, all fuzzed out and dreamy. It’s a perfect shoegaze intro to your weekend.
Never Come Down is available March 31, but check back here next week for an exclusive stream of the whole thing. The band also intends to record and release a new full length at some point this year.
