Shondaland makes Peter Krause its new leading man

The Catch, ABC’s latest Shondaland project, has had its share of casting difficulties. Damon Dayoub was initially set to play leading man Kiernan, a successful and seasoned con man, in the pilot. But now Variety reports that he has been replaced by Peter Krause of Parenthood and Six Feet Under. He’ll star opposite Mireille Enos, who is set to play Alice Vaughn, a fraud investigator who seems to be the only person who could stop Kiernan.

The role of Zoe was previously filled by Bethany Joy Lenz from One Tree Hill in the pilot, but the character is being recast. As of now, there is no news as to who could be replacing her. The Catch is set to premiere on ABC at midseason, and was written by Jennifer Schuur and developed and executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. Schuur will also executive produce.
