Showtime has passed on renewing The United States Of Tara, meaning the current third season of the multiple-personality mom dramedy will be its last. The Toni Collette-starring show had seen its ratings slide considerably since coming back in March, despite being the rare Showtime series that actually seemed to improve in its later seasons (mostly thanks to guest star turns from the likes of Eddie Izzard and Patton Oswalt) instead of just spinning its wheels. Speaking of which, Nurse Jackie got a fourth season pick-up.
