Showtime has already granted a fifth-season pickup to Californication—the David Duchovny-starring dark comedy about a smarmy, decadent novelist self-destructing one ill-gotten vagina at a time—mere days after its fourth season premiere garnered the show’s best ratings ever. In addition, the network announced returning dates for Nurse Jackie and The United States Of Tara (March 28), as well as its prestigious pope-fucking series The Borgias (April 3). Showtime also revealed plans for a new reality show that will take viewers behind the scenes during the next season of defending World Series champs the San Francisco Giants.
