Showtime renews House Of Lies
As reported by Variety, Showtime has renewed prestigious cable drama House Of Lies for another season of what we assume will be critically acclaimed adventures starring people in suits with luggage on wheels. Honestly, we don’t follow this show too closely these days, so we’re just assuming it’s prestigious and critically acclaimed because it’s a drama (slash comedy) on a cable network. It is about people in suits who occasionally lie and wheel their luggage around, though, right? Either way, it stars Kristen Bell, Don Cheadle, and Ben Schwartz—we’re pretty sure of that.
But don’t take our word for it, just ask Showtime executive Gary Levine (whose praise for House Of Lies is only slightly less generic than what we said about it). In a statement that the network released, Levine said, “When you have a gifted acting ensemble led by Don Cheadle and smart, acerbic writing led by showrunner Matthew Carnahan, you expect something special, and House Of Lies delivers for us each season.” Take that Mad Men or whatever. Not only is House Of Lies “something special,” but it has Don Cheadle and it’s coming back for a new season in 2016.
