Showtime to bring Masters Of Sex to completion
In what is sort of the equivalent of one partner just giving up before the other has orgasmed, Showtime has decided to end Masters Of Sex, according to Deadline. Of course, some might also argue that the show, based on the real lives of researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson, had plenty of time to finish and it should have hurried up already. Deadline reports that the network decided that the fourth season’s finale, which featured the marriage of the two lead characters, was as good a time as ever to pull out.
Though it appears like this was not exactly a mutually satisfying conclusion, the series created by Michelle Ashford did cover a lot of ground. When it began in 2013, the action took place in the 1950s, but by the time it finished the ’60s were over. At least the cancellation allows talented stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan to go find other projects.
