Sigur Rós announces its seventh very Sigur Rós-y record, Kveikur

Darling Hopelandic band Sigur Rós has announced a new full-length, its seventh. Kveikur—which all music writers will just copy and paste the title of for months to come—is due out June 18 on XL Recordings and is available for pre-order now. The band is currently on tour; a full list of dates is below.

The Icelandic band also released a dark, trippy new video for the first single, “Brennisteinn.” Shot by Andrew Huang, the clip comes in at a tight (for Sigur Rós) eight minutes long and comes off almost like a mini-horror movie, so enjoy that.
