The good news is Apple TV+ shared the premiere date for Silo season 2

Say what you will about Apple TV+ and its spending habits, the streaming platform has cornered the market in the sci-fi genre. For All Mankind, Foundation, Dark Matter, Constellation, Invasion… it’s safe to say there’s a type. One of the platform’s more intriguing offerings is Silo, based on Hugh Howey’s book trilogy, which released season one in May 2023.

Over a year later, we finally have an update on where the hell season two is. During the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), Apple TV+ confirmed that Silo returns in November. (They also brought out Steven Zahn, who was previously announced to be joining the series for its second season, which will kick off with a premiere episode titled “The Engineer,” part of which was shown at the panel. It all means we’re this close to learning what cryptic message Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) received in the season one finale, and how she fares after finally stepping into the outside world.

Created by Graham Yost, the dystopian series centers on a community of 10,000 people who live in an underground bunker 140 years after an uprising. They’re protecting themselves from deadly enemies and toxic waste on the ground. Juliette Nichols is a low-level engineer who strives to solve the murder of a loved one and reveal the sordid secrets of the bunker they live in.

Silo‘s ensemble features David Oyelowo, Common, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Rick Gomez, Harriet Walter, Will Patten, and Iain Glen.

Silo’s 10-episode second season premieres on Friday, November 15, with a new installment airing every week through January 2025.
