Simon Pegg and Nick Frost go back to school for new movie Slaughterhouse Rulez
The Cornetto Trilogy may have come to a close with The World’s End, but it’s not the end of the world for British comedians/BFFs Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The frequent collaborators and real-life friends have started a new production company called Stolen Picture, and have already set their first project, Deadline reports. The film will feature Pegg and Frost’s signature blend of nerdy comedy and slapstick horror, with a supernatural premise reminiscent of anime and/or manga series combining survival horror and high-school drama.
Called Slaughterhouse Rulez, the film takes place in a boarding school where a sadistic posse of sixth-formers (similar to American high-school seniors) terrorizes the younger students—that is, until a fracking site opens up a sinkhole on the school grounds. From that sinkhole emerges an ancient evil, turning the school’s pecking order upside down and pitting teachers against students in a bloody battle for survival.
