Sissy Spacek will be Kyle Chandler and Linda Cardellini’s mom in new Netflix series

Netflix’s as-yet-untitled “psychological thriller” about a family of siblings with a bunch of secrets continues to stock its cast with decorated actors. Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini, and The Dark Knight Rises’ Ben Mendelsohn have already signed on as three of four siblings, and now Deadline reports that Oscar-winner Sissy Spacek will play their mother. The drama from the creators of Damages centers on a close-knit clan “whose secrets and scars are revealed when the black sheep oldest brother, Danny (Mendelsohn), return home.” Spacek hasn’t been part of a television show since her Emmy-nominated, five-episode run as a political lobbyist on season four of Big Love.
