Site of Bates Motel, home to become housing development

The beloved Psycho locations will be moved from their current spot near Los Angeles so that Universal can build "Universal Village," part of something ominously called the "Vision Plan," The Guardian reports. The story says the project "will take 124 acres of the studio's back lot and replace it with apartments, lofts and town homes. There will also be 35 acres of hiking trails and parks." Sure, the house and motel are fixed in the minds of movie lovers everywhere, but you know what would look better here? Stucco! Universal has maintained the locations as tourist attractions so far, so hopefully they won't have to be destroyed.
