Skrillex contributing some wub-wubs to Disney's Wreck-It Ralph
While it was already announced that Skrillex is doing the movie for Harmony Korine’s drug-and-sex-soaked Spring Breakers, it turns out he’s making tracks for a movie at the other end of the morality spectrum, too: Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph. There's not a lot known about specifically what he's contributing yet, but the EDM icon is a self-proclaimed fan of animation, even tweeting earlier this week that The Lorax "is an incredible movie" (though some people would beg to differ).
Wreck-It Ralph, which hits theaters Nov. 10, tells the story of a Rampage-like video game villain who’s tired of being the bad guy and goes digitally rogue. Director Rich Moore, along with stars John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, screened 10 minutes of the film at San Diego Comic-Con Thursday. The excerpt, which elaborates a little on the trailer released in June, also featured some other notorious game villains like Zangeif from Street Fighter, Pac-Man ghost Clyde, Mario’s King Koopa, Kano from Mortal Kombat, and Doctor Eggman from Sonic The Hedgehog. Sadly, Moore noted that Nintendo wouldn’t give permission for them to use either Mario or Luigi in the film, presumably because putting them in a movie didn't work out so great last time.
