Sleater-Kinney is releasing a massive box set
Sleater-Kinney is back—in remastered LP form, at least. The influential trio will release all seven of its studio albums as a box set this fall via Sub Pop Records. Packaged with a 44-page hardcover book full of never-before-seen pics of the group, Start Together will hit stores Oct. 21, though it’s available now for pre-order. Remastered copies of all of the group’s albums—1995′s Sleater-Kinney, 1996′s Call The Doctor, 1997′s Dig Me Out, 1999′s The Hot Rock, 2000′s All Hands On The Bad One, 2002′s One Beat, and 2005′s The Woods—are available digitally today as well. Each album will also be re-released individually in October in both CD and LP form.
According to a press release, the records were remastered by engineer Greg Calbi, who was charged with giving a “deeper” sound to the guitar—something that’s probably important for a group that rarely used a bass.
