Rap legend Slick Rick has been pardoned by New York governor David Patterson for the attempted murder of two men in 1991. The pardon should keep Slick Rick in the U.S. after recent efforts to deport him back to his home country the United Kingdom. Rick has already served five years for the crime, and hasn't had any problems since he got out of prison in 1997. He is now a landlord in the Bronx who volunteers to counsel youths against violence. He don't cause no trouble, he don't bother nobody.
