Slothrust delves into the mind of Britney Spears for a new video

A lot of people have a lot of thoughts about Britney Spears, but only Ba Da Bing! band Slothrust has taken those musings and synthesized them into both a song and a claymation stop-motion music video. The clip for “No Eye Candy” is premiering below, was created by Chessy Normile, and finds the bluesy trio pondering Spears’ struggles with all her demons. According to the band, the track is “supposed to be a pop song, except creepy and perhaps a bit dark and disorienting,” and the video “could be viewed as a metaphor for the way fame amputates your conscious self from your physical self and, before you know what’s happening, you’re missing a leg but you’re smiling about it.”

Slothrust’s latest record, Of Course You Do, is out now on Ba Da Bing! Records.
