Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa to provide enlightenment, weed jokes in High School

Method Man and Redman recently caused a still-flowing river of tears and bong water when they announced that they had scrapped plans to create a sequel to How High, arguably the greatest movie ever about the universal college experience of smoking your dead buddy’s ashes and then chilling with Ben Franklin. But fear not, lovers of “higher education” puns on movie posters: Wiz Khalifa has let Rolling Stone in on his plans to star in the stoner comedy High School with British royal court jester Snoop Dogg, a film that will act as a visual companion to a collaborative soundtrack album of songs about their mutual love of talking about their mutual love of marijuana. As to details of the plot, as if you need them, Khalifa says, ““It’s about pot, of course. But it’s about mine and his relationship. A spin-off of us being cool in the industry, smoking a lot of weed, being around a lot of weed. We’re going to try to have fun with it and also try to enlighten people at the same time, not just get everybody high.” Adds Khalifa, “It’s a big deal.” Indeed, this is sort of like when Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson got together for 1984’s Songwriter, only without a drunk Lesley Ann Warren—so far.
