Snoop Dogg wrote a song for Prince William's bachelor party

No matter how excited you are for the impending nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton, it pales in comparison to the enthusiasm of Snoop Dogg, noted Anglophile and occasional rapper. Dogg will debut his new single “Wet” at 4:20 p.m. PST on his website today, an “anthem made for Prince William’s bachelor party and all bachelor parties around the world to follow.” Via press release, Dogg—who is rumored to fan the flames of monarchal love at the "cool kids" Royal Engagement Party at the behest of Prince Harry, who's also bringing the mini-burgers—clarified his inspiration for the song:

“When I heard the royal family wanted to have me perform in celebration of Prince William’s marriage, I knew I had to give them a little something. ’Wet’ is the perfect anthem for Prince William or any playa to get the club smokin’.”

This has “international incident” written all over it. Anyway, “Wet”—described as boasting a “hypnotizing beat” and “alluring and lustful lyrics,” so it’s probably not about PCP, possibly about vaginas—is also the subject of a contest where fans will create their own videos of them dancing to the song, with the video garnering the most views winning its creator a trip to the U.K. on Snoop Dogg’s dime to “celebrate the release of ‘Wet’ in royal fashion.” So…stiffly and joylessly?
