Snoop from The Wire arrested in Baltimore drug raid

In a case of life imitating art imitating life, Felicia “Snoop” Pearson—who played the drawling, generously tipping assassin in Marlo Stanfield’s coterie on The Wire—was among 30 people arrested this morning in a DEA raid, which targeted a large-scale heroin and marijuana operation in Baltimore. Pearson has been trouble before: She was convicted of second-degree murder when she was 14, spending over six years in prison—a criminal past that lent a note of authenticity to her performance on David Simon’s show. Most recently, Pearson was picked up on a minor drug charge in 2008, after she refused to testify in a murder trial. It was later dropped. Police have not said what charges she currently faces, but it doesn’t look good. (But her hair? Look good, girl.)
