Apparently the John Waters Christmas compilation wasn't such a bad idea—everyone's favorite sick-o from Baltimore has firmed up a tracklisting for A Date With John Waters, due out the week before Valentine's Day 2007. Like the Christmas album, this selection should be as classy as it is tasteless—tracks include "In Spite Of Ourselves," a duet between John Prine and Iris DeMent; "(Night Time Is) The Right Time" by Ray Charles; and "Hit The Road To Dreamland" by Dean Martin.
For Waters purists, though, there's Edith Massey's version of "Big Girls Don't Cry" and Mink Stole singing "Sometimes I Wish I Had A Gun."
Much respect to anyone who gets the quote in the post title.
