A.V. Club reader Ky Christopher Cleveland (we assume that’s his or her name…) has done the lord’s work and compiled not one but two A.V. Undercover related Spotify playlists. First, there’s “AV Undercover Songs,” which is a 183-song mix of nearly every song that’s ever been covered in the series, plus Maritime’s “It’s Casual,” a track that’s perhaps best known for being the Undercover theme.
Then comes “AV Undercover Bands,” which features all 174 acts that have participated in AV Undercover. Unfortunately—or fortunately, if you’re a copyright lawyer—the mix isn’t made up of the bands playing the songs they actually covered for the series, but Cleveland has picked some exemplary tracks from each artist, including Justin Townes Earle’s “Harlem River Blues” and The Swell Season’s “Low Rising.”
At about 23 hours long when combined, both playlists should be enough so score at least a few days of work this week. Anyone who aurally partakes should definitely thank Cleveland, too, because, let’s be honest, these things are definitely more of a labor of love than a labor of profit.
