Because Teddy Ruxpin didn't seem terrifying enough as he read children stories and blinked all evilly, a man in Portland hacked into one using Arduino microcontrollers, effectively creating the most terrifying children’s toy to ever exist.
The man apparently created an installation (aptly titled Transformations, Emotional Deconstructions, or T, E.D.) of 80 of these devil-spawns as “a sort of thermometer for the emotional temperature of the Internet.” To perpetuate the fear, the man gave out several BearDuinos and published the open-source code that makes them come to life.
