Because of this, “Marvel meets Star Wars” seems to be the popular shorthand for describing Guardians Of The Galaxy. So it was only a matter of time until someone on the Internet put the two together.
What makes this Stars Wars trailer in the style of Guardians Of The Galaxy better than the usual “mashup of one work of fiction with another vaguely similar work,” is that YouTube user The Unusual Suspect only copies the tone and rhythms (and Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit in the Sky”) of the domestic Guardians Of The Galaxy trailer, creating a Star Wars that has the loose, wry tone of Guardians.
