Someone sent Jared Leto a severed ear that he made into a necklace, because whatever, that's just part of being Jared Leto

In news that makes that collage you sent him look totally lame, Jared Leto has posted the below photo of what he—rather nonchalantly, we might add—says is the severed ear a 30 Seconds To Mars fan once sent him. "You get all kinds of wonderful things. Someone cut their ear off once and sent it to me. That was very strange. A whole ear. The Van Gogh move,” Leto recently told a British radio show, comparing it to the time the famous painter, incensed after a fight with Paul Gauguin, gave his severed ear to a prostitute. Which is, indeed, just like this. "It's eerie!" he did not add, regrettably.

“The note just said, 'Are you listening?' I never knew who it was, who's missing their ear out there,” he added. And rather than looking into it or, say, alerting the authorities, Leto did what all reasonable people who are like, “Hey, free severed ear!” would do: He “poked a hole in it and wore it as a necklace,” displaying it as any grizzled war veteran or singer of an emo band would.
