Song premiere: Russia's Mumiy Troll releases lead single "Fantastica" in advance of first full-length English language LP
As Yakov Smirnoff might say, in United States you have bread and Guns N' Roses, and in Communist Russia they have bread lines and Mumiy Troll. One of Russia's most popular bands going back to the '80s, Mumiy Troll is also a well-known hard-rock band throughout Europe and Asia. (And here you thought that the Russian contribution to rock music started and ended with the likes Autograph—not to be confused with the Autograph that sang "Turn Up The Radio.") Now Mumiy Troll is poised to take over America, Red Dawn-style, with its first full-length English language album, Vladivostok, due out April 24. The album employs a number of big-name American producers, including Mike Clink (GNR, Megadeth) and Joe Chiccarelli (My Morning Jacket, The Shins), and the first single is "Fantastica," which is streaming exclusively below.
