Soundgarden to release first studio album in over 15 years

Reunited grunge stalwarts  Soundgarden has announced today that it will release its first album of original material since 1996's Down On The Upside. Though the band officially got back together in 2010, which it celebrated by unearthing the unreleased Badmotorfinger-era track "Black Rain," it didn't put out any actual new music until this past April, when members recorded the single "Live to Rise" for The Avengers soundtrack. The new, Adam Kasper-produced album will be entitled King Animal and will be released through a partnership of Seven Four Entertainment and Republic Records on Nov. 13.
