Spider-Man director Mark Webb narrows down his Peter Parker wish-list
According to Heat Vision, director Mark Webb has assembled a short list of actors he wants to play Peter Parker in his upcoming Spider-Man reboot (although, as the blog is quick to point out, Webb is still open to other possibilities). The Fantastic Five include: Jamie Bell, star of Pater Jackson's and Steven Spielberg's upcoming comic-book adaptation, The Adventures Of Tintin; Alden Ehrenreich, a Spielberg discovery who starred with Vincent Gallo in Francis Ford Coppola's Tetro; Frank Dillane, best known as Tom Riddle in Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince; Josh Hutcherson, appearing soon in Lisa Cholodenko's The Kids Are All Right and in the upcoming Red Dawn remake; and Andrew Garfield, that annoying little shit from The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus. As previously established, Webb plans on focusing his Spider-Man film—as yet untitled—on a younger Peter Parker, hewing a little more closely to the teen-oriented tone of Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man.
