Spider named after Stephen Colbert

Fake conservative Stephen Colbert can add another honor to his resume—a trapdoor spider species found along the coast of California last year has been dubbed Aptostichus stephencolberti by East Carolina University biologist Jason Bond. Colbert demanded that a spider species carry his name after learning that Bond named a spider for Neil Young. You can see Bond talk about the spider and play along with Colbert's dumb questions when he appears on The Colbert Report Wednesday.
