Spike Lee may direct Justin Timberlake in that biopic of music manager Neil Bogart

Spinning Gold—that previously reported biopic in which Justin Timberlake stars as Neil Bogart, the "dirt-poor Jewish kid from Brooklyn” who went on to became one of the most successful music managers of the '70s—may now have another big name attached, this time behind the camera. Spike Lee is reportedly in early talks to direct Timberlake in the lead role, working from a screenplay by the Neil Bogart's son, Timothy Scott Bogart. It's worth noting that Lee scored one of his biggest critical and commercial successes with his only other biopic, 1992's Malcolm X. It might also be worth noting that he got fired off the last music-themed biopic he tried to make.
