It’s a good time to be a Bay Area sports fan right now. The NBA’s Golden State Warriors are well on their way to their second straight NBA title, while the San Jose Sharks are fighting it out with Pittsburgh in the Stanley Cup Finals. But what if these two great teams somehow morphed into one really amazing team? That’s what gamer and YouTuber Skillzfromthe6 did in NBA 2K16. Sort of.
More accurately, he took the Warriors’ lineup, renamed it the San Jose Sharks, changed their uniforms to the Sharks’ amazing teal number, then made the court look like a hockey rink. To complete the effect, he turned the Clippers into the Sharks arch rival, the Anaheim Ducks.
If he really wants to take this to the next level, he should try to build Sharks defenseman Brent Burns in the game as a sort of very physical swingman.
