Spotify’s getting all the best Prince records
Whatever you heard about Prince’s music coming to Spotify is true: his entire Warner Bros. catalog hits the streaming service on Sunday. So if you’re free for a couple of hours, or aren’t busy for the next seven years, Fact Magazine reports that two dozen of Prince’s albums (studio and compilation) will be available for your listening pleasure. That list includes Batdance, For You, Purple Rain, 1999, and Diamonds And Pearls, as well as his most recent works, Plectrumelectrum and Art Official Age.
Prince and Warner Bros. have a contentious history—in the early ’90s in a dispute over ownership of his own music. But he eventually gained ownership of his catalog, and returned to the label in 2014.
