Stanley Tucci and a bunch of kids join The Hunger Games

The Gary Ross-helmed adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games can’t let a day go by without another official casting announcement. After Wes Bentley nabbed the role of head gamemaker Seneca Crane last week, today Stanley Tucci signed on to play Caesar Flickerman, the TV host responsible for interviewing the 24 tributes, two from each district that participates in the titular games. It's a role that brings some darkly comic levity to the story, which seems to lend itself well to Tucci’s talents, seen in Easy A or The Devil Wears Prada.

Aside from the big roles, Summit has taken to grabbing headlines daily by announcing the actors playing the tributes for various districts. E! has a pretty good round-up slideshow collecting all the big names and newcomers, from Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, to Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan’s son Jack Quaid as District 1 tribute Marvel, all the way down to characters who don’t even have lines in the books, like Jacqueline Emerson as Foxface.
