Joining a cast that already includes the previously announced Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, and this sporting leather daddy ensemble, Oscar-nominated actor Stanley Tucci has been tapped to play Dr. Abraham Erskine in the upcoming Captain America: The First Time We Mention “Avenger” So We Can Make The Avengers, Which Is Probably What You Really Want To See. Erskine is a key figure in Captain America mythology, having created Project: Rebirth and first developed the Super-Soldier Serum and Vita Rays that made Steve Rogers into Captain America. In the comics, he also looked a lot like Hal Holbrook, but that dude’s too old to be playing with superheroes.
