Star-Lord’s dad finally shows up in the third trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
It seems like we’ve already seen a ton from Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, what with the first trailer, the second trailer, and the Super Bowl spot, but Marvel has just released a third trailer that shows a few more clips of the Guardians having thrilling space adventures and bickering over who is allowed to use guns and whether or not they should go out of their way to annoy the bad guys. It’s all predictably entertaining and features a lot of the same stuff as the Super Bowl trailer, but in true Marvel fashion, this trailer ends with a big moment: Kurt Russell introducing himself as Star-Lord’s dad. We’ve known for a while that Russell would be showing up in the film as both Ego The Living Planet and his human-sized avatar, but this is the first time we actually get to see him in his handsomely bearded glory.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 comes from director James Gunn, and it’ll be in theaters on May 5.
