Because there are currently not enough places to discuss Star Trek on the internet, CBS announced at its upfront presentation today that its upcoming CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery will be accompanied by an AMC-style chat show, Talking Trek. No word yet on who will host, but it’s about time for Chris Hardwick to quit hogging all the hosting gigs and give his good buddy Wil Wheaton a chance, if you ask us. (Maybe he can finally win over all the Wesley Crusher haters out there.)
Whoever ends up hosting, they’ll have plenty to talk about, as CBS has also upped its order for Discovery’s first season from 13 episodes to 15. The presentation also included the first trailer for the newest TV Trek mission, which we’ll post as soon as it goes online.
