Stare into a Bright Fire with The Honey Trees' new LP

California duo act The Honey Trees were in good hands on their first EP, which was produced by The Civil Wars’ chum Charlie Peacock. For the group’s first full length, though, the Trees hooked up with Jeremy Larson, producer for groups like Mutemath and Switchfoot. It’s a different vibe, for sure, but one that hopefully works on Bright Fire, out April 8. Reminiscent of Wye Oak and Au Revoir Simone, The Honey Trees put together sharp, clear dream pop that’s as influenced by art as it is by music. Don’t take our word for it, though. A.V. Club readers can check out Bright Fire in its entirety below. Parties interested in taking things further and purchasing the record can do so via The Honey Trees’ Big Cartel page.
