Stars, great clothes, and one huge mustache board Murder On The Orient Express
We already knew that Kenneth Branagh’s new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder On The Orient Express was going to be a starry affair, with basically every character played by a celebrity of some sort. Now, Entertainment Weekly has debuted images of the celebrity passengers all decked out in their period garb.
There’s Michelle Pfeiffer looking mysterious and glamorous as Caroline Hubbard, Daisy Ridley perkily posing with Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Leslie Odom Jr., and Judi Dench in fur and finery appearing ready to ice all comers with a stare. Branagh also appears to be treating the material with a whimsical tone, as demonstrated by the giant mustache he’s wearing as detective Hercule Poirot. (Johnny Depp and Josh Gad’s facial hair looks tame in comparison.) As Ridley told EW: “When I saw it I was like, Holy moly! But this is a larger-than-life story, so why not make the mustache larger, too?”
