StarTrek.com finally gives fans a place to talk Star Trek on the Internet
Marginalized far too long by an Internet that discourages obsessive discussion of science-fiction, Star Trek fans finally have a place to safely congregate at the newly re-launched StarTrek.com, which aims to bring all the Trekkie fansites out there—of which there must be literally tens—under one roof to create a “one-stop-shop for all things Star Trek.” The new site promises streaming video (including entire episodes of the original series and rare interviews), breaking news, and the “largest and most accurate collection of database information pertaining to Star Trek” on the web, while also showcasing fan sites such as TrekMovie and TrekToday—although it strangely ignores Squidge.org, the Internet's largest and most accurate collection of Spock-Kirk slash-fic.
