Now that star Andy Whitfield has been forced to permanently leave the show to battle non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Starz has made the tough decision to recast the lead on its flagship historical epic series Spartacus: Blood And Sand And Carol And Alice And Boobs. Producers have released a casting notice calling for Caucasian males in their mid to late 30s who have an authentic British accent and are willing to sign a three-year contract, and who wouldn’t mind being referred to as “the Dick Sargent of gladiator pictures.”
