Despite climbing its way back toward solid ratings and boasting the equally solid premise of adding occasional nudity to the oft-told Arthurian legend, Starz has decided not to renew Camelot for a second season. The freshman series reportedly could not resolve the many scheduling conflicts with stars like Joseph Fiennes and Eva Green—and if you can’t have Fiennes growling his way through inspirational monologues as Merlin or Eva Green glowering in a backless dress, then why bother with another King Arthur story at all?
