Following other news of respected filmmakers getting into TV pilots for the 2007-8 season, Stephen Frears—just nominated for a best-director Oscar for The Queen—has signed on to direct and executive produce Skip Tracer, a drama pilot for CBS, according to Hollywood Reporter. It's not his first venture into TV, but it is his first time working on an American series.
