Stephenie Meyer’s new supernatural series, The Rook, is coming to Starz
Two years ago, we told you about The Rook, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer’s first foray into the world of screenwriting. At the time, the project—about an amnesiac young woman who discovers she’s part of a shadowy organization protecting England from paranormal threats—was set up at Hulu. Now, though, according to Deadline, the project has reemerged at Starz, courtesy of Lionsgate TV.
Meyer adapted the show’s scripts from a novel by Daniel O’Malley, about a young woman who learns that she’s the only thing standing between regular people and sentient mold, malicious hiveminds, and, of course, good old-fashioned vampires. Starz announced the new series today as part of the TCA press tour.
