Steve from Blue’s Clues and Steven Drozd from The Flaming Lips have a new all-ages album
When he’s not busy starring in Snopes articles about his own mis-reported death, Steve Burns of Blue’s Clues spends his days making music. Much of his output in recent years has been in close proximity with The Flaming Lips, and especially his friend and partner in Stevedom Steven Drozd. Now, the two—who previously collaborated on Burns’ Songs For Dustmites, and in his band, Steve Burns And The Struggle—have a new project together, titled Foreverywhere.
The whimsically titled album comes with an equally whimsical band name (STEVENSTEVEN) and similarly playful album art. Also, the first single is titled “The Unicorn And Princess Rainbow,” in case you hadn’t caught the tone that the duo is laying down. (“We wanted to make a little legend here, sort of ‘Puff the Magic Dragon’ meets ‘Ziggy Stardust,’” Burns wrote in a press release.) The LP is being described as “for everyone,” and is scheduled to come out in February 2017.
